to share = to have or use with others
- I share an office with two other people. Mike shared the last cookie with his brother.
- From the video: This week we are sharing an update to one of our more popular recipe videos, blueberry muffins.
bowl, fork, … A bowl is a round container that is used for preparing or serving food (like for salad). A fork is a small tool with two or more pointed parts used for picking up and eating food (or mixing in our video).
- I ate two bowls of cereal for breakfast.
- In a medium bowl, mash an avocado with a fork.
- From the video: One bowl, one fork, no fancy equipment and you can do it in 30 minutes.
Equipment tools needed for a special purpose, whatever you need to complete a task;
- in the kitchen it could be a spoon, a fork, a bowl, a mixer.
- In the workshop it could be a hammer, a drill, a screwdriver.
- In the office your equipment might be a computer, printer and scanner.
Examples
- If we had better office equipment, we could work better.
- A great amount of money is spent on useless military equipment.
- From the video: One bowl, one fork, no fancy equipment and you can do it in 30 minutes.
Flavor - Flavor is the way something tastes. If an ice cream shop offers 50 flavors, each ice cream will taste different.
- Add the spices and let it stand for 30 minutes to allow flavor into the food.
- The flavor of the soup can be adjusted by adding salt.
- From the video: In goes some vanilla extract for flavor and then whisk.
Fluffy = light and soft or airy (egg whites, a cloud) ; also covered with soft material (a dog with a lot of hair, a wool blanket)
- In a large mixer bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Do you let your large fluffy dog inside the house?
- From the video: For light, fluffy muffins, use a soft touch and mix until just combined.
to keep something in mind = to remember something, especially something that will be important in future
- Keep in mind you have been sick, and need to rest for a while.
- Parents should keep in mind that they were once kids too.
- From the video: Just keep in mind they may take less time to bake.
